Model and Project Runway host Heidi Klum loves Halloween so much that she’s been hosting her own big Halloween party for over the past ten years now. Let’s take a peek at Klum’s and other famous guests’ costumes over the years past. The slideshow has pictures of all the costumes detailed in the following paragraphs.
In the “sexy costumes” category, model Tyson Beckford attended a Klum Halloween party one year dressed as a military man – a nod to the troops and also not a super elaborate or uncomfortable costume to wear. His lady guest came dressed (using that word loosely) as a sexy sailor – tiny sailor top and shorts with a white sailor hat. One has to have very little body fat to pull that one off. Model Kate Upton found a way to show off her figure and still appear to be in costume. She wore a tight white minidress and had someone draw skeleton bones on her with make-up. Model Doutzen Kroes dressed as catwoman in a skintight pantsuit with fur cuffs and gloves. However, the gray eyemask and gray and pink ears she chose to complete the outfit seem to be a bit too cute as opposed to the rest of her costume.
In the not overly sexy but more “interesting” category, actress Michelle Tractenberg came as a ragdoll by covering her skin in blue make-up with stitch marks. Singer Fergie once dressed as a toddler beauty pageant contestant – with a short gown in pastels, big hair, crown, frilly ankle socks, and a teddy bear. Former basketball player Rick Fox attended with actress Eliza Dushku dressed as what appeared to be zombie Bonnie & Clyde. They wore old-fashioned clothing, carried toy machine guns, and covered their faces in white make-up and dripping blood. Designer Christian Siriano wore a very puzzling costume that looked half French maid but also as if he was supposed to be just the feather duster (you have to see the picture to understand).
Finally a word on just three of Heidi Klum’s Halloween looks over the years. Her cat costume was kind of cool because it was a head to toe suit with an attached tail. She completed the look with eye contacts, teeth fangs, and cat face make-up/whiskers. Her black crow costume was a bit odd because although it was a fully feathered minidress costume; she paired it with fishnets and thigh high boots that made it look a bit like “hooker” crow instead of just crow. The best of three is her Cleopatra costume, which is a lovely gold gown with wrap, black wig, and elaborate gold headdress. It’s fun to see Halloween costumes over the years, and to get inspiration or new ideas for our own costumes. Enjoy the slideshow.
