The 19th Annual Celebrity Chefs Food Tasting & Auction to benefit the Ann Storck Center, one of Florida’s most respected non-profit organizations is coming to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, September 21. The delicious affair kicks off at 7 pm. The Ann Storck Center is named after Ann, who was a nurse, who helped developmentally disabled children.
The Celebrity Chefs Food Tasting & Auction is one of the top culinary galas of the social season. Each year, the event has grown exponentially with last year’s soiree welcoming more than 500 guests and netting $320,000 to support the charity.
“This not-be-missed event gives our renowned local chefs an opportunity to showcase their culinary skills while serving a great cause,” said Charlotte Mather-Taylor, executive director of the Ann Storck Center. “Food connoisseurs and loyal attendees all agree that the Ann Storck Center’s Celebrity Chefs Food Tasting & Auction is one of the most outstanding fundraisers of its kind.”
The extravagant evening begins with a silent auction featuring a variety of sports and entertainment celebrity-signed memorabilia and massive gift baskets featuring dozens of hand-picked, professionally packaged luxury items. Top favorites include exotic vacation getaways, jewelry, spa treatment packages, golf packages and more. A unique live auction called “Bids for Kids” will lets guests make a difference by sponsoring a child attending the Ann Storck Center’s Preschool.
“We are so grateful to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the chefs and the hundreds of people who participate in this spectacular event to help the Ann Storck Center raise vital funds for the important services they provide,” said Roz Perlmutter, event co-chair, together with fellow co-chairs Joan Ast, Marge Osceola and Doris Sipos.
Local restaurants and personalities confirmed to be a part of this year’s event include 1500 at Eden Roc, Aruba Beach Café, Bamboo Noahs, BlueBell Creameries, Bob Roth’s New River Groves, Brooks Restaurant, Café Prima Pasta, Casa D’Angelo, Chef Elisa’s Catering, Dapur, Galler Chocolatier, Hard Rock Cafe, Hell’s Kitchen contestant – Robyn Almodovar, Jimmie’s Chocolates, Kitchen 305, Malcolm’s , Oceans 234, Renegade BBQ, Rip’s Sports Bar & Grill, Seminole Hard Rock & Casino, Steak 954, Tatu Asian Restaurant, Timpano Italian Chophouse, Whole Foods and Wholesome Meals.
