Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 fans may remember the multiplayer reveal trailer that Treyarch released that showcased the multiplayer portion of Black Ops 2 for the first time. This multiplayer reveal trailer showcased glimpses of various features that the multiplayer portion of Black Ops 2 would be incorporating, of which can also be seen in the slide-show selection above. But, this trailer did not go into much detail as to how each of these features played out in the game. Thankfully, Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar, Game Design Director on Black Ops 2, has come forth with a breakdown commentary for this trailer.
As can be seen in the video shown below, Vonderhaar takes fans through each scene displayed in this trailer, detailing each feature that is being displayed for the multiplayer portion of Black Ops 2. First off, players are immediately granted with a detailed explanation of what the new “pick 10” system in Black Ops 2’s create a class. This is to allow players to use equipment, attachments, and perks in the exact fashion that they choose. Players will no longer be forced to carry items that they will not use, these item’s positions can then be used on necessary selections.
This video also details some of the weapons and equipment that was displayed throughout this trailer. Players are given a the breakdown of the shock charge, the millimeter scanner, and the tomahawk. In addition to this, Vonderhaar also breaks down some of the score streaks that were showcased in this trailer such as the energy wave turret and the Dragonfire.
In addition to this information, we have also uncovered something very interesting, in regards to Treyarch’s official Twitter account. Recently, it was discovered that Treyarch decided to change their main profile picture to something related to a game mode that has not been talked about for Black Ops 2, this being Zombie mode. Treyarch’s profile image displays the face of the zombie, with a star shaped emblem in the background. Many fans have been begging Treyarch to finally reveal what they will be featuring in the Zombie mode for Black Ops 2. Hopefully this update is a sign of things to come.
