Yesterday, Treyarch finally released the Black Ops 2 Zombies reveal. As showcased in the video below, Treyarch has showcased some of the content that will be implemented into Black Ops 2 Zombies, including a few new game modes.
Treyarch has decided to take Call of Duty Zombies to a whole new level with Black Ops 2. In doing so, every aspect of the zombie mode will be overhauled in Black Ops 2. There will no longer be only one game type featured in the Zombie Mode. At the preview event, Treyarch showcased three separate game types that will be implemented into Black Ops 2 Zombies. Survival mode will be returning with two new game modes, entitled “Tranzit” and “Grief.”
The reveal trailer mainly showcased gameplay from the new Tranzit game type for zombie mode. This game mode will allow the player to travel to different locations during their game session. Players will travel from one location to another, defending each property as they move through each objective. As can be seen in the video, players will apparently be transporting from each location through the use of a bus, which will be actively pursued by zombie hordes.
In addition to this, another new game mode called Grief will be introducing a competitive concept to zombie mode. This game mode will feature up to eight players, that will be split into two teams. The objective will be to outlast the opposing team through the zombie infested levels, of which will be similar to the classic survival style of zombies.
Treyarch has revealed that they will be implementing a ton of new features such as stat tracking, leaderboards, and custom games into Black Ops 2 Zombies. In addition to the way zombie mode stats were tracked the previous games, Treyarch will be implementing a much more in-depth view of player stats. Also, Treyarch will finally be letting players create custom Zombie Mode game types. Players will now have the option of selecting their choice of what round they want to start at. Players will also have the option of setting specific challenges, such as a “Headshots Only” mode for the match.
