Tis the season to be scary! And Baltimore Horror Movie Examiner is here to help you with the quintessential movies to view this Halloween season. Today, we’re kicking things off with this reviewer’s top ten favorite horror movies of all time. This was quite a difficult list to compile seeing as I have viewed thousands (no exaggeration) of horror movies in my 26 years of existence. But I’ve narrowed it down to the absolute best and hope that you’ll enjoy these terrifying titles. So let’s get started!
#10 Freaks (1932)
When a beautiful trapeze artist marries the leader of a sideshow circus for his money, his deformed friends soon find a way to seek vengeance in his name.

Two men chained up in an unknown lavatory must play a game in order to survive. But they soon discover that the mastermind behind this puzzle doesn’t want them to saw through their chains, he wants them to saw through something much more painful.
#7 Session 9 (2001)
An asbestos removal crew begins to turn on each other while working at an abandoned asylum. But the horrible past of this torturous place comes to live and has sinister plans for this unknowing team.
#6 Ginger Snaps (2000)
After outcast Ginger Fitzgerald is bitten by a wolf her sister Bridgette must discover a way to reverse the process before she fully develops into the beast that she is slowly becoming.
#5 The Omen (1976)
An American ambassador learns the terrible truth that his beloved five year old son is in all reality the antichrist.
#4 The Pit and the Pendulum (1961)
Based on Edgar Allan Poe’s short story, this film follows Vincent Price who plays Nicholas Medina, a man obsessed with the terrible torture carried about by his father during the Spanish Inquisition. But there is more than meets the eye. His obsession with being buried alive spawns a depravity that knows no bounds and his must prove this his wife was buried alive.
