Reality stars Kourtney, Khole and Kim Kardashian received some bad news yesterday: they were being threatened with a lawsuit over the name of the their upcoming makeup line: Khorma.
The Kardashian sisters will never be known as “natural” beauties. When it comes to makeup, the three appear to be as obsessed with it as Tammy Baker was.Seeing this day after day, some marketing person had a light bulb go over her head: connect the Kardashian’s makeup plastered faces to the selling of a cheap cosmetic line. Another perfect way for non-talented sisters to show young girls what they feel is important in life.

Instead of going with the obvious choice of Dash makeup, they decide on Khroma and quickly began promoting it and creating a Khroma twitter account. The sisters are planning to debut the makeup in discount stores as well as adding it to their Sears Kardashian line.
That is unless Michael Rey, co-owner of Beverly Hills’ based brand Chroma, wins his lawsuit. Rey says the Kardashian’s new Khroma makeup line is simply a misspelled version of his products name, and that will undoubtedly cheapen his brand. Chroma is a classy, quality brand that is bought up by A-list clientele. Rey feels some of his customers may choose to change brands in order to avoid any misunderstanding they are wearing something associated with the Kardashians. Apparently, he feels nobody wishing to buy a Kardashian product would ever step foot in his stores or confuse the products.

Rey tells TMZ, …his brand took 12 years of blood, sweat and tears to build and now boasts an A-List clientele — but he grouses the Kardashians line cheapens his products and creates confusion in the marketplace.
Michael fears his high-end customers will run for other parts of the Hills … thinking their primo cosmetics are not so primo after all ….and, they’ll be embarrassed to say they wear Chroma.
Michael says he’s hired a legal team, but hasn’t made contact with the Kardashians just yet. He hopes they’ll change the name — but if they don’t he’s prepared to take legal action.
Michael has drafted a letter to his customers making it as clear as concealed — Chroma in NO WAY is associated with the “low-budget cosmetic products” the Kardashian’s are hocking.
Mayor Kim Kardashian or maybe a Romney running mate?
