Anne Hathaway has always convincingly played the part of a beautiful princess, and we have watched her snag Prince Charming in her classic movies.
However, she wasn’t acting on Saturday night when she married Adam Shulman, her boyfriend of four years.
A source reported to People magazine that Hathaway looked gorgeous and wore a custom Valentino dress. Other details paint the picture of a simple, quiet wedding. Reportedly, she didn’t wear any jewelry, and chose not to get hair extensions, sporting her pixie cut. Attached to her simple veil was a 1920’s inspired headband.
The insider also shared that the ceremony was very low key, and that only friends and family were present. Her guest list was estimated to have about 150 people in attendance, apparently none of which were actual movie stars.
Don’t misread her wedding to be too simple however. Her lavish reception made up for anything that the wedding itself may have lacked. Reportedly $100,000 was spent just on flowers alone. It was also said to have consisted of an all vegan menu, and San Francisco based jazz trio, Americano Social Club.
The rehearsal dinner Friday was held at the Ventana Inn & Spa, and a conveniently located estate was the ceremony spot.
Hathaway became engaged to Shulman, an actor, and jewelry designer last November.
