“American Idol,” along with its new judges, is already imploding on itself and the season hasn’t even started yet. After a obscenity-laced rant by Nicki Minaj aimed at Mariah Carey on set on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012; it is now said that death threats are being tossed around. TMZ reports that Minaj threatened Carey’s life according to sources connected to the show’s production.
One source even states that during the middle of the argument, Minaj said, “If I had a gun, I would shoot her.”

Most of the loud and heated exchange was caught on tape, but this particular incident was not. The exchange between the two did get out of hand on “American Idol.” Luckily, Keith Urban was sitting in between them.
Nicki: Think I’m playin? Think this s**t is a f**king joke? Think it’s a joke? Think it’s a joke? Think it’s a joke? Say one more disrespectful thing to me, if you say one more disrespectful thing to me — off with your head!
Mariah: I am not being disrespectful.
Nicki: Off with your head, off with your head.
Nicki: Don’t tell me I’m insecure, don’t tell me I’m inadequate … you gonna get sent [inaudible] just fall back; don’t … you don’t know [inaudible] I don’t feel inadequate. You’re the insecure one sittin’ up there running down her resume every five minutes.
Nicki: Every time you take a shot at me I’ma take it back, and if you gotta f**king problem then handle it. I told them, I’m not f**king putting up with your f**king highness over there … figure it the f**k out. Figure it out.
Mariah: whyyyy, whhyyyyy …
Nicki: Figure it out
Mariah: … do I have a 3-year-old sitting around me???
Nicki: I’m not sitting here for 20 minutes and having you run down your resume everyday, No! Goodbye!
Mariah: Listen … I can’t see my kids because you decided to make … to have … to have a little baby fit and going all around the stage.
Nicki: Good, well then go see them now, go see them now … you’re boring as f**k, you’re boring as f**k.
It came as quite a shock to many when Minaj was even brought on board as a judge for the new season of “American Idol,” but she may not be for much longer.
Sources have confirmed that this exchange did happen, and some associated with the show are also confirming that the death threat happened. An unnamed friend of Minaj has said though that the death threat to Carey didn’t happen.
