The Turning Stone Showroom in Verona, New York will host the first performance of the Alice Cooper’s “Raise the Dead” tour on October 19. Just in time for Halloween, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Alice Cooper brings his latest nightmare to Turning Stone Resort Casino’s Showroom Friday, October 19. The show is the world premiere performance of Cooper’s “Raise the Dead” tour.
Known for his decades of highly visual stage theatrics and hit songs including “I’m Eighteen,” “School’s Out,” “Welcome to My Nightmare,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy”, and “Poison,” Alice Cooper plans to take his “Raise the Dead” tour to another level of disturbing. Cooper released his latest live album, “No More Mr. Nice Guy: Live” earlier this year.
The original Alice Cooper band entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010, a year before the release of Cooper’s latest studio album, “Welcome 2 My Nightmare.” The new but familiar concept album explores the fear, anxiety, and disgust that haunt Alice Cooper’s dreams in an era of Facebook, Lady Gaga, Sketchers, and Angry Birds. Cooper said, “Alice hates technology, disco is still a nightmare for him, and working in a cubicle from nine-to-five would give him cold sweats. At the same time, this is a nightmare so all these normal life things are thrown into this crazy world that’s only logical when you’re in the nightmare.”
Tickets for the 8 p.m. October 19 Alice Cooper “Raise the Dead” tour world premiere at the Turning Stone Showroom are $60, $65, and $70 and go on sale September 7 at the Turning Stone Box office by calling (315) 361-7469 or at Ticketmaster.
