2012 is proving to be a remarkable year for Airpush, the Android mobile ad network that has emerged as one of the biggest names in a thriving industry where there is no scarcity of stiff competition for the affection of developers and mobile advertisers.
At the recent 2012 Mobile Excellence Awards in Los Angeles, Airpush bested all competing mobile ad networks to be named the “Best Mobile Ad Network.”
Nominees in the mobile ad network category were judged on a comprehensive review of each organization’s “strategic initiatives, impact of their technology on the industry, creativity of implementation, ease of use, reach and ability to demonstrate successful implementation in the market.”
“Receiving the Best Mobile Ad Network Award at the 2012 MEAs caps off a truly amazing year for us at Airpush,” said Asher Delug, Founder and CEO of Airpush – a company that has enjoyed significant growth throughout 2012.
By May, Airpush was already the second biggest Android ad network in the world. Two months later, Airpush reached another major milestone when it paid out more than two million dollars in developer payouts for a single month. And in August, Airpush released it’s new SDK, which was promptly celebrated by developers and mobile advertisers in response to the new resources provided and the significant revenue spikes many experienced almost overnight.
As Examiner reported in September, the flagship feature of the new Airpush SDK 5.0 is SmartWall, an interstitial mobile ad format which dynamically optimizes between multiple sub-formats such as Rich Media, AppWall, Video and Interstitials.
“Throughout 2012 we have seen the results of these efforts pay off in terms of dramatic growth of our network, huge payout increases for our developers and consistently increasing ROI for our advertisers,” Delug says. “This award is yet another recognition of our work and a validation that the innovation we are bringing to the industry is helping advertisers and developers around the world to reach and exceed their business goals.”
Beyond Airpush’s technical and financial milestones for the year, Airpush was also invited to become a board member of the IAB. Airpush even serves on several committees within the MMA, both in the United States and abroad.
“Airpush is taking a leadership position in the mobile advertising industry in order to help it continue to grow and mature,” the company said last week, keenly aware of the growth mobile advertising has already experienced and is poised to experience further in 2013 and beyond.
