Air Asia, southeast Asia’s most successful low-cost carrier, is known for its incredible “free plane tickets” giveaways. The airline usually runs the promotion once a year, and gives anything up to 1 million free seats on flights to and within anywhere they fly. That means free plane tickets to and within Thailand, China, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, India and Burma. They only thing you have to pay is tax and fuel surcharge.
What does the latest Air Asia ‘Big Sale’ mean to you?
It means if you plan to fly within or to many destinations in south east Asia between May 1st and September 30, 2013, and take advantage of their 770,000 free seats promotion, you could get your flights completely free. All you will pay is the tax and fuel surcharge.
The last time I grabbed one of these ‘free seats’ I flew round-trip from Bangkok, Thailand to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The total cost to me? $12 for tax and fuel. Yes, they are an incredibly cheap deal.
Where can you fly with these free seats?
Most places Air Asia flies and that is many, many cities. Free seats are included to places like Kuala Lumpur and Penang in Malaysia, Bangkok and Phuket in Thailand, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in Cambodia, Singapore, Beijing and Chengdu in China, Jakarta and Bali in Indonesia, Kolkata in India and on and on.
How do you get a free seat?
Simple. Just go to Air Asia’s website and choose your flights and times. If they fall within the free seats promotion period and there are still free seats available on the flights you want, the amount of ‘0’ will pop up for your charge. They’ll then give you the taxes and fuel surcharges (as cheap as $10) and that’s what you pay. Once you’ve gone through the check-out process your e-ticket will be sent to you and, on the day of travel, you will fly as you normally would.
Believe me, as I’ve taken advantage of this offer many times, there are no catches here. If the seats are available you will get them for free.
How to increase your chances of getting a free seat?
Even with 770,000 free seats available, they disappear fast. To increase your chances, if you can’t get your original flight, keep changing your dates or times until a free flight becomes available and grab it. It’s as easy as that.
End of Sale
This Air Asia free seats promotion ends on Sunday, 4th November (or as long as free seats are available) and you have to fly between May 1st and 30th September, 2013.
So head off to Air Asia’s website and grab some free tickets but be warned, they are going so fast you can’t wait around.
