This weekend Southington, CT. welcomed back one of it’s most treasured traditions since 1968, the 44th Annual Apple Harvest Festival. The start of this free festival was scheduled for Friday September 28th, but had to be postponed due to the weather. The center of town still saw it’s fair share of visitors that night though, with people flocking to the fritter booth to be the first to taste the once a year treat, which decided to open their booth despite the weather.
The festival is located in the heart of Southington surrounding the Town Green and attracts 100,000 visitors. Activities to enjoy include local entertainment, a variety of contests, and on-stage music. A children’s play area and carnival offer family fun. Our merchants and food booths offer a wide variety of quality goods and tasty food. (southington.org)
